Struggling for Fall Merch Ideas? 25 Small-Batch Custom Apparel Drops You Can Launch This Month

Launch window: October 2026. Keep the first drop focused. Offer one to three designs, accept orders for a short window, and make only what customers want. DeJavu Creations by M has no bulk minimums, so a test can be as small as one piece, or up to 25.

Set up the drop

1. Choose the quantity

Pick one production route:

  • Preorder: Open orders for three to five days. Make the number sold, then close checkout.
  • Ready-to-ship test: Start with 5–10 garments across one or two designs.
  • Small limited batch: Cap at 25 pieces. Set the size range and available colors before launch.

Avoid splitting a small run across many styles, colors, and designs. One tee blank plus one sweatshirt blank is enough to test demand. Collect size selections at checkout. Make the final count from paid orders, not social-media interest.

2. Select blanks and a print method

For tees, begin with a familiar unisex short-sleeve blank in a fall color such as charcoal, army, cream, or maroon. Add a crewneck or hoodie only if your customers want a warmer option. Check the size chart and garment availability before publishing the drop.

For small-batch custom apparel, choose between two practical routes:

  • DIY pressing: Order custom DTF transfers and press them onto compatible blanks. DTF suits multicolor artwork and lets you keep transfers and blanks separate until an order is confirmed. Follow the transfer supplier’s temperature, time, pressure, and peel instructions.
  • Finished shirts: Send your design and garment preferences to the Print Shop. DeJavu Creations by M can print and press the apparel for you.

Need to arrange several designs efficiently? Read “How to Create Custom Shirts in 5 Minutes with DTF Gang Sheets” from the News Blog. The blog link opens the post listing; select the article title there. For more help choosing a process, see custom T-shirt printing methods.

3. Price and announce it

Calculate the full cost for each item:

  • Blank garment and print or transfer
  • Pressing or production labor
  • Packaging
  • Payment fees
  • Shipping subsidy, if offered

Set a price that covers those costs and leaves a clear margin. As a starting test, many sellers may place a printed tee around $24–$32, a crewneck around $38–$52, and a hoodie around $45–$60. Adjust for the blank, artwork, labor, and your customers. Don’t price from garment cost alone.

For an October 2026 launch, prepare the artwork and sample now. Announce the drop, open a short preorder window, and state the order cutoff and estimated ship window before checkout. Halloween timing is tight: only promise arrival before October 31 if production and delivery are confirmed. Otherwise, present Halloween art as an October seasonal design without an arrival guarantee.

4. Add a simple bundle

Increase the value of the drop without adding more apparel designs:

  • Tee + custom stickers: Include one sticker with every order or offer a small themed sticker sheet.
  • Tee + tumbler: Match the tumbler art to the shirt graphic. Browse the Tumbler Studio for custom options.
  • Group shirt + team tumbler: Add a name, role, or event date to make the set personal.

Keep bundles optional. Calculate the price from both products and packaging before offering a discount. For inspiration, browse custom sticker ideas and personalized tumbler ideas.

Launch checklist

  • Choose one theme and up to three designs.
  • Confirm garment colors, sizes, and production method.
  • Photograph a sample or show a clear mockup.
  • Set the order cap or preorder close date.
  • Publish price, size details, and estimated delivery timing.
  • Add a sticker or tumbler bundle if the numbers work.
  • Close the drop on time. Produce the confirmed quantity.
